Logarithmusgesetze
Voraussetzung: Logarithmus
Du kennst die Definition: \(\log_a(b)=x\) bedeutet \(a^x=b\).
Setze \(x=\log_a(b)\) und \(y=\log_a(c)\), also \(a^x=b\) und \(a^y=c\). Dann ist \(b\cdot c=a^x\cdot a^y=a^{x+y}\). Der Exponent von \(a\) ist \(x+y\), das heißt \(\log_a(b\cdot c)=x+y\).
Die anderen beiden Gesetze folgen genauso. Beim Quotienten ist \(\frac{a^x}{a^y}=a^{x-y}\). Bei der Potenz ist \((a^x)^r=a^{r\cdot x}\). Zusammen:
\[ \log_a(b\cdot c)=\log_a(b)+\log_a(c), \]
\[ \log_a\!\left(\frac{b}{c}\right)=\log_a(b)-\log_a(c), \]
\[ \log_a(b^r)=r\cdot\log_a(b). \]
Daraus folgen drei Sonderfälle: \(\log_a(1)=0\), weil \(a^0=1\) ist.
Quotient, \(\log_5(250)-\log_5(2)\)
Beim Quotienten wird subtrahiert. Aus \(\log_5(250)-\log_5(2)\) wird \(\log_5\!\left(\frac{250}{2}\right)\), das ist \(\log_5(125)\). Es ist \(5^3=125\), also ist der Wert \(3\).
Potenz, \(\log_2(32^3)\)
Der Exponent \(3\) kommt als Faktor vor den Logarithmus: \(\log_2(32^3)=3\cdot\log_2(32)\). Es ist \(2^5=32\), also \(\log_2(32)=5\) und der Wert ist \(3\cdot 5=15\).
Faktor und Differenz
Gesucht ist \(3\cdot\log_2(6)-\log_2(27)\). Der Faktor \(3\) wird zum Exponenten im Argument: \(3\cdot\log_2(6)=\log_2(6^3)=\log_2(216)\). Dann wird aus \(\log_2(216)-\log_2(27)\) der Logarithmus \(\log_2\!\left(\frac{216}{27}\right)\), das ist \(\log_2(8)=3\).
Kehrwert und Wurzel, \(\log_2(\sqrt{8})\)
Eine Wurzel ist eine Potenz mit Exponent \(\frac{1}{2}\): \(\log_2(\sqrt{8})=\frac{1}{2}\cdot\log_2(8)\). Es ist \(2^3=8\), also \(\log_2(8)=3\) und der Wert ist \(\frac{3}{2}\). Beim Kehrwert dreht sich das Vorzeichen: \(\log_2\!\left(\frac{1}{8}\right)=-3\).
